Harnessing Future Youth Leaders within NNFU

The Namibia National Farmers Union (NNFU), through its affiliation with SACAU, continues to empower young agripreneurs via the Youth Leadership Incubation Program (YLIP). This initiative aims to foster self-efficacy among young agripreneurs, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to become future leaders in the agricultural sector. Since 2023, NNFU has actively supported graduates of the program, helping them further develop their leadership abilities and agricultural expertise. For 2025, Paulus Shiningayamwe (horticulture farmer, Omusati Region) and Raymond Freyer (poultry and small stock farmer, //Kharas Region) have been selected to participate in the YLIP. Both graduated in August 2025 in Johannesburg, completing the programme and strengthening their leadership roles within NNFU. Young farmers interested in joining the next YLIP intake are encouraged to sign up as NNFU Youth Members to be eligible. More details on how to register as an NNFU Youth Member are available on our website: https://nnfu.org.na/youth-and-women/
