Fulbright Scholar of Economics:Co-hosted by Legal Assistance Centre and Namibia National Farmers Union (NNFU)

Period: January – November 2026

Mr Owen Heaphy, originally from the United States, is a Fulbright Scholar currently co-hosted by the Legal Assistance Centre and the NNFU to conduct research. His research interests within agriculture include the topics of financial stability, low-collateral loans, compensation schemes for droughts, value-chain improvements, and veterinary zoning. We believe his research will be beneficial to NNFU members and all farmers at large.
