The Namibia National Farmers’ Union (NNFU) is a national federation of regional farmer’s unions (RFUs). It was established in June 1992 to serve as a mouthpiece for all Namibian communal and emerging commercial farmers.

The Namibia National Farmers Union (NNFU) held its National Council Meeting on 12 February 2026 in Windhoek, under the theme “Uniting Farmers and Nurturing Namibia’s Agricultural Future. The meeting brought together representatives from all 14 regions of Namibia.

The session was officially opened by NNFU President Adolf Muremi and Khomas Regional Governor Sam Shafishuna Nujoma, who delivered welcoming remarks and keynote addresses. The Governor emphasized the importance of market-oriented agribusiness, adoption of modern agricultural technologies, and stronger collaboration between farmer unions and government to address key challenges such as climate change, youth unemployment, and national food security.

Key discussions covered Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) updates, progress on the OMAHETJO Project, regional reports, and approval of the 2026/2027 financial year budget and activity plan.
