Background

This is an ongoing important programme for the NNFU and its members. It is a continuous programme to improve membership registration process, increase benefits and value for its members.

In addition to RFUs direct members, NNFU is open to agricultural corporate entities, business associations, and organizations including Commodity Associations that subscribe to the Union’s values and ideals. NNFU provides the following support in this regard:
  • Members registration training to its members.

  • Equipment and material support to its members i.e. membership registration machineries, cards etc.

  • Awareness creation about membership registration.

  • Support to RFUs and FA during membership registration.

  • Review process to improve membership registration.

Benefits

Membership benefits is one of the key programme of NNFU that keeps NNFU relevant to its members. The primary benefit of NNFU members is the advocacy and lobby to address issues that affect productivity and profitability of their farming. As a farmer, the main concern is enabling environment to farm and get maximum profit from your farming venture. NNFU advocate and lobby to address issues affecting the productivity and profitability of their members. An individual farmer will not have the muscle to advocate and lobby due to lack of bargaining power.

In addition to primary benefits there are secondary benefits for being NNFU members and some of them are still being developed as follows:
